A correct result (picking a win, draw, or defeat) is worth 10 points. The exact score earns 30 points.
The Premier League concludes today.
While we know the winner and those returning to the championship, places for Europe are still up for grabs.
I’ve gone for a draw in the United game. 2nd position is already secured so they may rest players with eyes on the prize which is the Europa League final.
I’ve gone for wins for Chelsea, Liverpool, and Leicester which means Leicester will miss out on Champions League football on goal difference.
With a win against Southampton, the Hammers should all but secure their place in the Europa League.
Other experts have gone for a win for Arsenal, but I feel the game would end in a draw and since I’ve given Everton a loss, it means Arsenal would go over them on the table but the superior goal difference of Tottenham would mean they’re securing the Europa Conference League despite losing to Leicester.
If Arteta wants to give a reason to still become Arsenal coach, albeit he doesn’t deserve it in my opinion, this is a game he must win. I must add he’s the luckiest coach in the premier league now.
Chelsea is the form team in England bar City and their loss in the FA cup against Leicester had been atoned for by their clinical performance against Leicester their last time out. Aston Villa is good but only for mid-table, they are currently occupying. Chelsea are too good to be left out of UCL next season and they won’t be.
Both teams’ status are already sealed. I expect an entertaining game but I’m tipping Newcastle to triumph.
A straight win for an entertaining Leeds team. West Brom has gotten nothing left to fight for. They will turn out only to concede the 3points to Leeds.
A very important match for Leicester for UCL qualification.
I think Kane will want to leave on the high. Based on the club’s ambition, I am giving this to Leicester City.
I think Liverpool has done well to put themselves in a position to qualify despite their struggles in the course of the season. I do not see Crystal Palace putting a dent to that ambition.
Like I said in my previous previews, City does not have a second team. 98% of their players will walk into any team in the Premier League. They have won the league, yes but this will be a test to what the UCL final will look like. Pep will not joke with this. Everton will lose this one.
I anticipate a drab draw.
Westham needs to avoid a defeat to be certain of European qualification and I’m backing to get what exactly they need. Southampton doesn’t look like they can stop them going by both side’s recent forms.
Both teams will remain where they are at the conclusion of the League.
MAN 2nd and WOL 12th. A good match for MAN to prepare for the Europa League final.
