Chumsy and Shecomms will be predicting every premier league game this season.

Both are very passionate about football and have been Arsenal fans for over 20 years going through the good and difficult times. “There’s no better club than Arsenal,” says Shecomms, “it’s where I want to be.”

Chumsy also insists he would rather sit at home than jump ship. “I grew up loving Real Madrid and Milan AC but since I started supporting Arsenal (at a young age too) it’s been about the Gunners. It may not be okay today, but we’ll be great again. It’s funny when rival fans laugh at us or question if we have what it takes to be at the top. Although it doesn’t look like we’re there yet, I know we are close”

We have newlywed Arsenal fan King Kachii in the building; he took a timeout from his honeymoon to join us for gameweek 8 predictions. King Kachii started supporting Arsenal towards the end of the 03/04 season. “I was particularly attracted to the style of play at the time – tiki-taka”. Also, Papilo (Kanu) played a huge role too.”

King Kachii has memorable moments with the Arsenal.
– Lehman’s semi-final save against Villarreal’s Riquelme enroute the 06 UCL final, Arsenal 2-1 comeback against Barcelona at the emirates, Welbeck’s late winner via a Mesut Ozil assist against Leicester and many more.

But his worst Arsenal moment was the 5-1 tromping by Bayern in the UCL

Early kickoff for Liverpool. I won’t say it’s gonna be a straightforward game because teams in UCL tend to struggle in their league game before the next UCL game but the reds should get the job done.

The South American qualifiers ended late which means some players may not be available for their club for some days and that could play a part in this fixture.

Manchester United hasn’t convinced me about their title credentials. They struggle to score goals and still struggle to keep clean sheets. But Leicester hasn’t done justice either.

The citizens should win this. Not the many goals we would love to see, but the very important 3 points.

Barring a miracle, I don’t see Norwich doing much in this game. They host a very organised Brighton team who I believe would get an away win.

This fixture could go anywhere but Leeds have shown some balance in their team which is why I’ve given them the win.

Brentford has shown us they are here to stay and I won’t be surprised if they push Chelsea to the limit.

Two teams that have improved their style of play. This game looks more like it would produce lots of brilliance but still end in a stalemate.

Harry Kane’s form is worrying but we know he’s capable of scoring many goals. His struggles at the moment may give Newcastle an opportunity to strike. Newcastle will also be buzzing as the news of new owners unfolds.

Two former Arsenal players go head to head on Monday night in this London derby. I feel it would be a cautious game and both teams may settle for a draw

Watford 0:3 Liverpool
Liverpool last two games have been average with both ending in draws and a Watford team in form would have a hard time beating Liverpool, talkless of an average one. This match goes to Liverpool

Villa 2:2 Wolves
Both teams are on the same wavelength recently and i expect a competitive game. I don’t see either team winning.

Leicester 1:2 Man U
This is the biggest game this weekend. Both teams are favourites to win the match but I would bet the win on a team with CR7.

Man city 3:0 Burnley
City is the better team and the home team. There shouldn’t be any suspense in this match.

Norwich 0:2 Brighton
Norwich is currently the worst team in the league, while Brighton has been giving a steady display of brilliance.

Southampton 0:1 Leeds
Both teams performances have been nothing to write home about but I believe Leeds confidence from the last win will give them the right mentality to edge over their opponent.

Brentford 1:2 Chelsea
Chelsea performance in the recent game have been short of their display at the beginning of the season but they are still a strong contender for the league while Brentford is a fantastic team and have shown since the beginning of the season that they are not easy to beat, especially by the big teams.

Everton 1:1 Westham
Both teams ability is practically the same thing, so I expect a drawn outmatch.

Newcastle 2:2 Tottenham
Tottenham performance this season have been subpar but a starving camel is still bigger than a horse. Though I don’t see them losing, I don’t see them winning also.

Arsenal 2:1 Palace
Both teams have been trying to turn on a new leaf in recent games but I see the gunners winning this one.

Watford v Liverpool
We begin with an early kickoff from Vicarage Road as a newly-promoted Watford take on Liverpool. The hosts have had a shaky start on their return to premiership football with 1 win in their last five matches and will be looking to improve their form. The hosts will also fancy their chance against Liverpool, having put 3 un-replied goals against them the last time both teams met (2019/2020 season), which saw Liverpool’s unbeaten run end. However, Liverpool, having had an impressive start to this season with 4 wins and 3 draws in 7 games will be looking to get back to winning ways having drawn their last 2 matches. Also, a win for Liverpool takes them to the summit of the league, at least for a few hours.
Prediction: Watford 0 – 2 Liverpool

Aston Villa v Wolves
This fixture has over the years proven to be a closely contested match with only one goal separating both teams in 6 of their last 9 encounters and 3 draws. Today’s encounter at Villa Park looks set to continue in the same fashion as both teams have had similar starts to the season, with 3 wins each. However, Wolves look an improved side in recent weeks with the return of their Talisman – Jimenez who spent the majority of last season on the sidelines following a head injury. Wolves will fancy their chances against Aston Villa having won 3 out of their last 4, picking up 2 of these wins on the road.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Wolves

Leicester v Manchester United
Our next kickoff takes us to King Power Stadium where Leicester takes on Manchester United. Leicester have had a poor record against the red devils, winning only 1 in their last attempts. On the other hand, United have had a fantastic record against Leicester over the years winning 19 wins against Leicester’s 3 wins in 30 attempts. This fixture looks to be an interesting one as both teams will be aiming for a top 6 spot. Leicester sit 13th on the table and will be looking to improve on their poor start to the season especially with Vardy scoring again, while United sit 4th on the table and will be itching to get back to winning ways having drawn and lost their last two games. With an in-form Ronaldo, I fancy United to edge past Leicester.
Prediction: Leicester 1-2 Manchester United

Manchester City v Burnley
The current PL champions welcome Burnley to the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side currently sits 3rd on the table and would fancy a comfortable win over an out of form Burnley who are yet to record a win this season. Manchester City has won the last 6 encounters against Burnley, scoring 22 goals, and conceding 1 goal. Burnley, on the other hand, would look to kick start their season, however, Pep’s side may be too difficult an opposition for them. I fancy Manchester City for a comfortable win.
Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Burnley

Norwich v Brighton Albion
Newly promoted side, Norwich have found a start to life in the PL rather difficult. Norwich has lost 6 of their 7 games so far this season and sit bottom of the table. They’ve conceded an average of 2-3 goals per match and face an in-form Graham Potter’s side that has boasts of 4 wins and a draw out of 7 games this season. Both teams have previously met in the topflight, with Brighton winning both games. Norwich will be looking to give “the fans” of Carrow Road something to cheer about since their return to the PL. on the other hand, Brighton looks like a well-organized and finely coached team, and will be looking to continue their impressive start to the 2021/22 season. My prediction – Brighton for the win.
Prediction: Norwich 0 – 1 Brighton Albion

Southampton v Leeds
Southampton welcome Leeds united to St. Mary’s Stadium in our last 3 pm kickoff for Saturday. Southampton have had a slow start, failing to win a game this season and sit 17th on the table with 4 points from 7 games, while Leeds united sit 16th on the table with 1 win and 3 draws in 7 games. This would be Leeds United’s successive season following their historic return to the PL last year after a 17-year absence from the topflight football, which saw Leeds do the double over Southampton. This fixture is set to be an interesting one as both teams will be looking to improve on their current forms and avoid being roped into a relegation battle at this early stage of the season.
Prediction: Southampton 0 – 1 Leeds United

Brentford v Chelsea
Newly promoted Brentford welcome the champions of Europe and current table toppers, Chelsea, to the Brentford Community Stadium, in what would be the first-ever local west London derby between both sides. Brentford have had an impressive start to life in the PL, kicking off their campaign with a 2-0 win over London rivals, Arsenal, on matchday 1. They’ve gone on to win 2 more, drawn 3 out of a possible 7 and sit 7th on the table. Chelsea on the other hand, sit 1st on the table going into the weekend, which also reflects their impressive start to the season. Bolstered by the recruitment of Lukaku at the start of the season, Tuchel’s side have looked the team to beat so far and would fancy their chances over local rivals, Brentford. Another incentive for Chelsea to snatch a win is that failing to win could prove costly at the summit, with one point between them and Liverpool, Manchester City.
Prediction: Brentford 0-2 Chelsea

Everton v Westham
Newly revitalized Rafa Benitez’s Everton welcome Westham United to Goodison Park. Everton’s had a great start to the campaign with 4 wins and 2 draws in 7, sitting 5th on the table. This fixture has also proven to be favorable to Everton in the past with 27 wins against Westham’s 10. Westham having started the season with two successive wins has had a dip in form, recording one win and 2 losses in their last 3 games, and sits 9th on the table. David Moyes will be looking to get one over his former team and improve on their current form if they are to repeat their impressive run last season which saw them competing for the top 6. However, giving the history of this fixture and Everton’s impressive form so far this season, I fancy Everton snatching the win.
Prediction: Everton 2-1 Westham

Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur
Following the successful takeover of Newcastle United, the atmosphere, confidence, and motivation of everyone around St. James Park is surely uplifted following their poor start to the season. Newcastle United take on Tottenham on Sunday evening, going into the game sitting 19th on the table, with 0 wins and 3 draws out of 7 games. Tottenham, on the other hand, has had a decent start to the season with 4 wins and 3 losses in 7 games, sitting 8th on the table. Comparing the form of both teams, Tottenham looks the better side on paper, however, this fixture over the years has proven to be highly unpredictable as both teams boast of 22 victories each against themselves, and this weekend looks no different. With the return of Kane to the starting lineup and Son picking up a form at the right moment, I’d fancy Tottenham to snatch the win in a closely matched encounter.
Prediction: Newcastle United 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal v Crystal Palace
Arsenal will be looking to continue their impressive run prior to the international break as they welcome a crystal palace side led by former Gunner’s skipper and legend Patrick Viera to the Emirates on Monday night. Arsenal’s 3 consecutive wins and 1 draw saw them turn around their disappointing start to the season, climb up the table to 11th, and Mikel Arteta being named manager of the Month. On the other hand, Crystal Palace has also struggled to kick start their season, with 1 win and 4 draws out of 7, sitting 14th on the table going into the weekend. This fixture has been quite favorable to Arsenal over the years 14 head-to-head wins as against Crystal Palace’s 3 wins. While Arsenal fancy their chances of a win, this fixture might prove to be tightly contested as Crystal Palace will go into the game having put 3 past Arsenal’s bitter London rivals, Tottenham. However, with Aubameyang leading the attack and a fully fit Arsenal side, Arsenal should be able to secure all 3 points come Monday night. Another incentive for an Arsenal win would be Arteta looking to avoid the pressure and setback that comes with failing to win. A win also potentially takes Arsenal up the table and one game closer to achieving their season objective of playing European football again. A win is, therefore, a must for Arsenal.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Crystal Palace

A correct result (picking a win, draw, or defeat) is worth 10 points. The exact score earns 30 points.
