Chumsy and Shecomms will be predicting every premier league game this season.
Both are very passionate about football and have been Arsenal fans for over 20 years going through the good and difficult times. “There’s no better club than Arsenal,” says Shecomms, “it’s where I want to be.”
Chumsy also insists he would rather sit at home than jump ship. “I grew up loving Real Madrid and Milan AC but since I started supporting Arsenal (at a young age too) it’s been about the Gunners. It may not be okay today, but we’ll be great again. It’s funny when rival fans laugh at us or question if we have what it takes to be at the top. Although it doesn’t look like we’re there yet, I know we are close”
GAMEWEEK 3 PREDICTION
MANCHESTER CITY vs ARSENAL
Arsenal had a good win during the week. But I don’t see them posing any threat to the Citizens in the early kickoff. Hopefully, the Gunners would bounce back after the international break.
ASTON VILLA vs BRENTFORD
This fixture should be an exciting one with Aston Villa hoping for home advantage. Brentford are unbeaten in the opening two games and I feel the unbeaten run will continue against Villa.
BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs EVERTON
Brighton got a very important win against Watford and would want to dwell on that in this fixture but they come against an Everton side that’s yet to lose a game too.
NEWCASTLE UNITED vs SOUTHAMPTON
Newcastle would gradually settle and their players will get used to each other. I still expect home advantage to come in play in this game.
NORWICH vs LEICESTER
Norwich hasn’t won a game yet. I feel sorry for them because their first two fixtures were against big teams. This one shouldn’t be different too. Leicester will aim to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat against West Ham
WEST HAM UNITED vs CRYSTAL PALACE
High scoring Hammers face a team that’s yet to score this season in the premier league. This doesn’t look like a game that would be one sided but I feel the home team would edge it.
LIVERPOOL vs CHELSEA
I got talking with some friends who said Liverpool would not walk alone in this fixture. There’s no disputing the quality in this Red’s team. But Chelsea do have a disciplined squad that knows when to attack and when to defend. This makes it easier for them and that’s why I’m going for a Chelsea victory.
BURNLEY vs LEEDS
Not a game that we should grab our popcorn for, but it would still be a good watch for the neutrals.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs WATFORD
Nuno is the man of the moment. Having Harry Kane pledge his loyalty is a big boost to Spurs and should help them win many games. Watford are no pushover but this should be another win to the home team.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs MANCHESTER UNITED
I didn’t really put United up there but with getting the final part of the jigsaw in the person of Cristiano Ronaldo, I believe United would challenge for trophies. The match against Wolves is obviously too early for Ronaldo. It’s a tricky away game. But the Red Devils could nick it.
Mancity 3:0 Arsenal
There isn’t much to say about this, City will continue with their for from last match and I don’t believe the gunners have much ability to fight them off.
Aston Villa 2:1 Brentford
While Brentford have put up some nice performance in the last two matches, I believe Aston Villa will edge over in this match with their scoring form and them being at home.
Brighton 2:0 Everton
Looking at it from an individual player abilities, Everton might win this but from a team perspective, Brighton takes the cake. I believe their organized football will give them this win.
Newcastle 0:0 Southampton
Both of this teams are still looking for balance in this new season, so I don’t expect much in terms of lethality from either team.
Norwich 1:3 Leicester
I don’t see much of a fight here. Leicester is looking for a winning form and Norwich is exactly the kind of team that can give them this with their mediocre performance. I don’t see this playing out any different.
Westham 3:1 Crystal Palace
There is not much to be said about this match. Westham is just the better team and still playing from home.
Liverpool 2:1 Chelsea
This is the match of the week. Ever since Tuchel came, Chelsea have been in a great form with and they are a pleasure to watch. While this is so, Liverpool is a well grounded team that do not easily lose themselves in others style of play. This is going to be a great match of lovely football and I believe Liverpool will take this win.
Burnley 1:1 Leeds
I don’t expect much from this match as both are struggling to make any mark and I don’t believe any one of them will find that mark in this game.
Tottenham 2:0 Watford
Tottenham have all the possible imaginable advantage in this match. I don’t expect there to be any suspense.
Wolves 2:1 Man Utd
Man Utd in recent years have not been synonymous with consistency, and wolves will be looking to get a win this weekend and I believe they can capitalize on the opposing team inconsistency.
