It’s another night of Europa league football for Arsenal and this time, they welcome a very much high-spirited Norwegian side in Molde, who are currently sitting in the second position in both the Group B of the Europa League and the Norwegian Top league. Arsenal will be boosted by their 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend and they will be aiming for an early qualification here in Europe to make it 3 wins and out 3 games after winning against Dundalk last week but first, they must overcome this high-flying Molde side.
Arsenal will be boosted by the return of David Luiz to full training after the veteran defender missed the last 2 games for Arsenal due to injury. Aside from that, they do not have any new injury update from the ones already on the treatment table; Pablo Mari, Calum Chambers, and youngster Gabriel Martinelli are all still sidelined. We expect some changes to the starting Line up that beat Manchester United last weekend, with Alex Runar Runarsson expected to return between the sticks, while David Luiz, Pepe, Nketiah, Granit Xhaka, Joe Willock, and Shkodran Mustafi are all expected to return to the starting Line up.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP (3-4-3); Runarsson, David Luiz, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Ceballos, Willock, Pepe, Nelson, Nketiah.
Molde does not have to contend with many injury issues heading into the game with Kristoffer Haraldseid the only player missing for the visitors. Manager Erling Moe has used the 4-3-3 formation in both of Molde’s Europa League encounters and is likely to stick with the same formation in London. Andreas Linde will be the man in goal for the visiting team and is likely to be a busy man on Thursday night. Former Manchester United academy man and current Molde captain Magnus Wolff Eikrem, who has two goals and two assists in Europe this term, will provide the forward thrust from the centre of the park for the hosts. The defensive responsibilities will fall on the shoulders of Fredrik Aursnes and Martin Ellingsen.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP (4-3-3): Linde; Wingo, Bjornbak, Gregersen, Haugen; Eikrem, Aursnes, Ellingsen; Hestad, Omoijuanfo, Brynhildsen
KICKOFF TIME: 21:00 (WAT)
